Nursery Care Coordinator

$20 per hour, 9:30 – 11:30 am Sundays; Additional hours on Wednesdays or later on Sunday may be available

Reports to: Rector

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church seeks a joyful, kind, and responsible adult to work with infants and toddlers on Sunday mornings. This individual provides a safe, gentle, and welcoming environment for children ages 0 – 4 before and during the church service. The coordinator also manages a schedule of other caregivers to ensure that 2 people aged 16+ are present in the nursery each week. This team of caregivers is built in coordination with the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Provide childcare from 9:30 am – 11:30 am on Sundays
• Coordinate schedules of volunteers and additional staff to ensure that 2 people 16+ and one adult 18+ is present each week
• Communicate monthly schedule to Rector, Parish Secretary and the team each month
• Complete SafeChurch training and a background check
• 1 hour of cleaning / sanitizing once a month
• 1 hour per pay period may be clocked as ‘coordinating time’; ie, building the schedule and communicating it
• CPR training is a plus

The nursery coordinator fills out a timesheet and turns it in every two weeks.

Caregiver roles without the schedule management expectations are also available, with the same hours, at $15 per hour to people 16+.
